Let’s raise a glass to World Gin Day, celebrated on the second Saturday of June each year.

This global event, organized by Gin Monkey, invites people worldwide to celebrate the brilliant spirit that is GIN. Whether you prefer it in a cocktail, a classic G&T, or neat as part of a tasting,

World Gin Day is all about embracing this juniper-laced elixir!
🍸🌿

We have VFMA Accredited Gin Producers at our Accredited VFMA Markets! As you purchase your Gin, ask for the story behind the Gin directly from the producer!

When pairing food with gin, consider the following options which are available from VFMA Accredited Markets across Victoria the weekend:

  1. Savory Snacks and Appetizers: Options include olives, nuts, and cheese, all fresh from the farm to you!
  2. Light Meals and Sandwiches: Try something distinctive to go with your cocktails. Purchase some amazing sourdough, available plain or with a range of additions!
  3. Hearty Meals and Entrees: For a more complex meal, pair gin cocktails with hearty dishes that include hand pasta, pizza bases, and sauces.
  4. Seafood: Oysters, shrimp, and grilled fish go well with gin. You can buy these from our seafood stall holders!
  5. Cheese: Cheese and gin make a delightful combination. Whether you prefer a hard or soft cheese, maybe even some flavoured butter.
  6. Charcuterie: An assortment of cured meats, olives, and pickles complements gin. Our farmers have a range of cured meats—beef and pork—available. You can also select your favourite olives and pickles, freshly made and preserved by our talented stall holders.
  7. Spicy Foods and Desserts are also good choices. Our farmer's markets have a fantastic range of spices, sauces, condiments, desserts, and pastries to satisfy those with a sweet or spicy palate.
